They really wanted to reveal all for this documentary.
Theranos fraudster Elizabeth Holmes’ fiancé Billy Evans appears in a ballsy, full-frontal naked shower scene in their suitably named documentary, “You Can See Everything.”
The doc, which hits theaters Friday, follows the disgraced Silicon Valley darling at her family’s beachfront home in California for a month leading up to her federal prison sentence in 2023.
The couple allows the film’s directors, comedian Nathan Fielder and Lance Oppenheim, to live in their San Diego guest house and document their day-to-day life before things take a weird twist.
Early in the documentary, Evans — the father of Holmes’ two kids, and the CEO of blood-testing startup Haemanthus — is shown working out at a gym.
He then allows the crew to film him showering — with a gratuitous, full-frontal scene making the final cut.
In another striking scene, Holmes says she got, well, the shaft from prosecutors — insisting she never lied to investors about her former company’s bloodwork technology.
When Fielder asks if she’s ever told a lie in her life and she replies, “I don’t think so,” leaving him gobsmacked.
He then presses her, asking about a “white lie or two” to get out of plans with friends, and Holmes reluctantly concedes that she probably has.
Much of the nearly three-hour documentary shows Fielder — who’s known for his socially awkward style of comedy in shows such as “The Rehearsal” and “Nathan for You” — debating whether to trust what Holmes tells him.
“Why would I deceive you?” Holmes asks him at one point. “There’s no reason for me to do that.”
During the shoot, the filmmakers also discovered that the guest house they’re staying in lacks basic amenities — including mattresses for their beds — making them suspicious they’re being bugged.
“We were in a conspiracy thriller of our own, we all were paranoid,” Oppenheim said at a recent post-screening Q&A in Los Angeles.
Holmes also bursts into tears in another scene while watching Amanda Seyfried’s portrayal of her in the Hulu series The Dropout.
Holmes starts to cry while watching a scene in which Seyfried playing Holmes screams “Get the f—ing money!” as she receives business advice from Oracle billionaire Larry Ellison.
Holmes then asks Fielder, who convinced her to watch the show, to turn off the TV.
In 2022, Holmes was convicted of conspiracy to commit wire fraud and three counts of wire fraud, and sentenced to more than 11 years in prison.
Holmes has maintained that she never lied during the launch of Theranos, a blood-testing company she founded in 2003 at age 19.
The movie, which premiered at the Telluride Film Festival on Sept. 6, hits theaters Friday.
