Elon Musk has defended Donald Trump's Attorney General pick Matt Gaetz against allegations of sexual misconduct.
The Tesla boss dismissed the accusations as 'worth less than nothing' and pointed out Gaetz is not facing any criminal charges.
The Florida lawmaker is under investigation by a congressional ethics committee over claims of drug use, bribes and sex with minors.
But the long-running probe is not concerning Musk, who has recently been appointed tapped to run Trump's Department of Government Efficiency.
'As for these accusations against him [Gaetz], I consider them worth less than nothing,' Musk wrote on his platform, X.
'Under our laws, a man is considered innocent until proven guilty.
'If AG Garland (an unprincipled douchebag) could have secured a conviction against Gaetz, he would have, but he knew he could not. Case closed.'
The billionaire praised Gaetz's, 'a big brain' and said he would make a great Attorney General because he has, 'a spine of steel and an axe to grind'.

He is the Judge Dredd America needs to clean up a corrupt system and put powerful bad actors in prison,' Musk wrote. 'Gaetz will be our Hammer of Justice.'
Gaetz stepped down from his position in the US House of Representatives just hours after Trump picked him as Attorney General.
The dramatic move by Gaetz came as Punchbowl News revealed the impending release of a 'highly damaging' report concerning sex trafficking and drug use allegations against the Florida rep.
Now that Gaetz is no longer a member of Congress, the House Ethics Committee loses jurisdiction over him, although the report may still be released.
The committee has been investigating Gaetz on and off since 2021.
He allegedly partied, used drugs and paid women for sex repeatedly between 2017 and 2019 while serving in the House of Representatives, an attorney claims.
The Republican attended up to 10 'sex parties' where illegal drugs and 'group sex situations' were present, according to Orlando-based attorney Joel Leppard.
Both women represented by Leppard allege that Gaetz paid them for sex via Venmo, the attorney claims.
Gatez has denied the allegations, which include he paid for sex with a 17-year-old and Venmo-ed her the cash
'She testified [that] in July of 2017, at this house party, she was walking out to the pool area, and she looked to her right, and she saw Rep. Gaetz having sex with her friend, who was 17,' Leppard said Monday.
One of the witnesses alleges that she saw her friends having sex with Gaetz at a party in July 2017 against a game table thought to be an air hockey table.
The unnamed witness also says that her friend was 17-years-old at the time.
Gaetz says he has done nothing wrong and that the allegations against him amount to a 'false smear.'
He also said he had never engaged in sexual activity with anyone under the age of 18 in a letter posted to his social media in September.
'The answer to this question is unequivocally NO,' he wrote. 'The lawful, consensual sexual activities of adults are not the business of Congress.'
