We look ahead to Tuesday’s UEFA Nations League matchup with our England vs Czechia prediction and preview, as Thomas Tuchel’s Three Lions look to make it three straight wins.
England vs Czechia: The Key Stats
- England, fresh from hammering Croatia 7-0, are the Opta supercomputer’s big favourites at 79.8%.
- Czechia have lost six of their eight competitive meetings with England (W2), though they have always responded to back-to-back losses with a win.
- England are unbeaten in all eight of their games against Czechia at Wembley Stadium (W6 D2).
England hit a magnificent seven against Croatia on Saturday, making it back-to-back wins in their UEFA Nations League campaign in some style.
Harry Kane and Bukayo Saka scored twice each, while Jude Bellingham was also on target and laid on three assists. Anthony Gordon and Morgan Rogers also scored in an emphatic victory.

Thomas Tuchel’s side have scored 11 goals in the three games across this extended international window, with one more match to come as Czechia visit Wembley on Tuesday.
England beat Czechia 2-0 in Prague last week, with Gordon and Kane scoring, and the Three Lions should be confident of another victory in this encounter.
It was a routine win for England, aided by Pavel Sulc’s red card midway through the first half.

Tuchel has plenty of positives to take from the past couple of weeks, particularly in attack.
Across their last four games in all competitions, England have won 6-4 against France and 7-0 against Croatia. It’s the first time they’ve scored 6+ goals in two different games in a calendar year since 2019, while they last did so in three different games in 1908.
Gordon has scored in each of his last four England appearances. The last player, other than Kane, to score in five in a row for the Three Lions was Wayne Rooney between October 2014 and March 2015.
The Barcelona winger has actually netted two headed goals in his last two England appearances. Those goals seem to have even come as a surprise to him, with the former Newcastle player joking, “I’m probably the worst header of the ball you will ever see” after nodding in his first against Czechia last week. Across 248 total club appearances, he has not scored a single header.
Other than Kane, Gordon is the only player to be directly involved in a goal in five consecutive England appearances across the last 10 years (four goals, two assists).
Against Croatia, Saka scored two right-footed goals in a match for the first time in his senior career for club and country (378 appearances). Bellingham, meanwhile, was directly involved in more than two goals in an England game for the first time. He is the first player to record three assists in a game for England since Trent Alexander-Arnold against San Marino in November 2021.
Then there is their main man, Kane.
The captain is set to equal a record in this match. If he features, he will make his 125th England appearance, which will see him equal Peter Shilton as the all-time most-capped player in the Three Lions’ history.
With his double last time out, Kane became the first player to score 10+ goals in three different calendar years for England: 11 in 2026, 16 in 2021 and 12 in 2019.
Kane has netted 89 goals across his 124 caps to date, and a flurry here could take him even closer to the century before 2026 is up.

But what of Czechia?
They sit bottom of the group after losing their opening three games, going down 2-1 to Croatia and 3-1 to Spain, either side of that defeat to England.
Santi Denia has lost all three of his games in charge of Czechia, and could be the second manager to lose their first four matches with the nation after Václav Ježek in 1973, then as Czechoslovakia.
In fact, Czechia have lost five of their last six games in all competitions (D1), including each of the last four in a row. They last lost five consecutively between July 1972 and March 1973.
England vs Czechia Head-to-Head
Czechia’s recent poor form is not the only thing going against them heading into this match. They have lost six of their eight competitive meetings with England (W2), though they have always responded to back-to-back losses with a win, and have lost their last two.
England are also unbeaten in all eight of their games against Czechia at Wembley (W6 D2). In the most recent of those, the Three Lions finished their Euro 2020 group-stage campaign with a 1-0 win.
