GB News presenter Eamonn Holmes took aim at Elon Musk this morning after the tech billionaire claimed Reform UK leader Nigel Farage "doesn't have what it takes".

The Tesla founder and X owner turned on former ally Farage in a post on social media yesterday, stating: "The Reform Party needs a new leader. Farage doesn't have what it takes."

In response to the claim, Farage said he was "surprised" by Musk’s outburst, declaring: "Well, this is a surprise! Elon is a remarkable individual but on this I am afraid I disagree."

Weighing in on the row between the pair, Breakfast host Eamonn Holmes compared Musk to a "Bond villain" and claimed he is "interfering" in British politics.

Eamonn told GB News viewers: "I have a lot of thoughts about Elon Musk. Elon Musk to me is the epitome of a Bond villain.

"He's got so much money, like so much money. Not just a little bit of money, he's got some crazy amounts of money. He can do exactly what he wants and he's interfering in our politics."

Agreeing with Eamonn, cohost Ellie Costello suggested that Musk has a "hyper-fixation" on British politics, adding: "It's all he's tweeting about."

Noting Musk's "power and influence" on social media, Eamonn argued that Farage and Trump would not want to "fall out" with the tech billionaire, as they "need" his platform X for their own political gain.

"$10million is peanuts to him."

Offering his support to Nigel Farage, Eamonn claimed that the Reform UK leader "should have fallen out with them both already".

He said on GB News: "I would have fallen out with them already. I'd just say it's clear, you and me we're not mates, I don't need you, go away."

However, Eamonn also accused Farage of "sucking up" to "villain" Elon Musk to help benefit Reform's cause.

As Ellie claimed Farage has been "polite" in his response to Musk's attack, Eamonn concluded: "Because he's sucking up to him!

"He's saying to him, I need your money. I don't like him, he's a Bond villain. He should be sitting in a chair stroking a pussycat, that's what he should be doing."

He added: "Nigel Farage and him were, we all thought, besties. And then he slags off Nigel over the weekend, and said that Farage doesn't have what it takes to lead Reform UK.

"This is just weeks after a meeting in America between the two of them."
