Former MSNBC star Keith Olbermann encouraged fellow liberals to take the LA wildfires as an opportunity to 'batter' conservatives psychologically.

Olbermann, 65, issued the call to action after liberal influencer Angela Belcamino said was not appropriate to celebrate the destruction of actor James Woods' home just because he is a conservative.

'This is the attitude that lost the election. They will not compromise they will not convert they will not be human,' the pundit said Wednesday on X.

'They must be defeated - and any chance to bruise or batter them psychologically must be exploited.'

Olbermann added that Woods should be 'especially' targeted because he is a 'despicable human being, especially to women.'

The X interaction between Belcamino and Olbermann came after retired University of Missouri professor Karen Piper celebrated that Wood's home burned down.

Piper wrote in a since-deleted post:  'James Woods' house is burning down. It's karma calling.'

She then took her comment back, telling The College Dix she does not 'wish anyone harm.'

Elderly patients were evacuated into emergency vehicles as embers and flames approached during the Eaton fire in Pasadena, California

Reacting to Piper's initial post against Woods, Belcamino wrote: 'I’m not a fan of James Woods at all but being happy his house burnt down isn’t the answer. Be better.'

Belcamino then told Woods it was actually liberals like him who lost the election for Democrats.

'I could write you a laundry list of things that lost the presidency, house, senate, popular vote, and every single swing state but having an ounce of humanity isn’t one of them,' she wrote.

'Keithy, you truly haven’t learned a thing from 2024 and doubling down on this kind of rhetoric will cost the democrats again in 2028.'

Woods is one of many celebrities who lost their homes in the dystopian LA fires this week.

The actor, 77, became emotional on Tuesday as he shared how his wife's niece offered to help after their home was destroyed by the fires that have decimated at least 1,000 structures and left two dead.

Woods said his wife's eight-year-old niece 'came out with her little piggy bank for us to rebuild our house.'

At least 10 people were killed and thousands of structures were burned as fierce wildfires raged in the Los Angeles area, officials said.

Fast-moving flames blazed through homes and businesses as residents fled smoke-filled canyons and picturesque neighborhoods that are home to many celebrities.

Many of the towering fires that began Tuesday were fueled by powerful Santa Ana winds, which gusted to more than 70 mph in some spots. The winds dropped Thursday, but the National Weather Service warned that even the reduced gusts could still spread fire rapidly.

The exact death toll remained unclear, but it was expected to rise as crews begin to search the rubble.

Gov. Gavin Newsom said California has deployed more than 1,400 firefighting personnel to battle the blazes. Oregon, Washington, Utah, New Mexico and Arizona dispatched teams to assist.

AccuWeather, a private company that provides data on weather and its impact, increased its estimate of the damage and economic loss to $135 billion to $150 billion. Government officials have not yet released any damage estimates.
