FBl agents eager for new leadership after New Orleans terror attack; decorum, procedures breached [Embarrassed by the DEI hire]

FBI agents say the bureau’s initial response to the New Year’s Day terrorist massacre in New Orleans’ French Quarter was disastrous and another reason the Senate can’t move fast enough to confirm President-elect Donald Trump’s nominee to run the agency.

Several agents who spoke on the condition of anonymity said the FBI failed to execute a comprehensive counterterrorism plan when Shamsud-Din Jabbar of Texas, an Army veteran, rammed a pickup truck carrying an ISIS flag into New Year’s Eve revelers, killing 14 and wounding dozens.

They said the top FBI official on the scene broke with decorum and that the bureau failed to follow basic procedures.

Agents wondered why Lyonel Myrthil, the special agent in charge of the New Orleans FBI office, did not appear to be on duty at the time of the attack despite what should have been a heightened alert for New Year’s Eve celebrations and the college football championship, the Sugar Bowl, scheduled at the city’s Superdome on New Year’s Day.

The agents blamed poor leadership by outgoing FBI Director Christopher A. Wray and Deputy Director Paul Abbate.

Mr. Abbate is poised to become acting director after Mr. Wray resigns, which he said he will do before Mr. Trump’s Jan. 20 inauguration.

“They need to go right now, not only Wray, but Abbate needs to go. This is awful. This is embarrassing. Kash Patel is the person to have in there,” said an agent, referring to Mr. Trump’s nominee for FBI director. “He needs to come right now, right away, because these people have to leave.”

Translation: “Don’t fire me bro!”
Clean out the FBI, CIA and Defense of all DEI hires since 2008.
That should clear out most of the bad ones.

You know the destruction of great institutions like the FBI didn’t just happen over night under the reign of the current Dummy, although his administration had a giant part of it. This really started under the thoroughly corrupt and racist Barack Hussain Obama. This disaster at the FBI, and the DOJ, along with the disasters at the Pentagon, the Departments of Homeland Security, HHS, etc., etc., have been a long time in the making. Remember how Obama projected about the other side, calling them “Junior Varsity”? Well, this current crowed of misfits and miscreants are so bad, they wouldn’t even be fit to qualify for that! Shame on them for what they have done to once great institutions, and shame on those Republican led congresses that let all this go down. Under the current subject, Kash Patel coming in is a great start to begin to clean out the nest of vipers and snakes, but this is not going to be fixed overnight. Faith in our Federal Government can be destroyed in a very short period of time. What these incompetent and compromised leaders have done will take years to mend.

From the comments.

A good logical one.

I can remember a time, just a little while ago when comments weren’t allowed with newspapers.

“FBI agents say the bureau's initial response to the New Year's Day terrorist massacre in New Orleans’ French Quarter was disastrous . . .”

I am not a current FBI agent; nor a former or future FBI agent.

Excuse the personal reference, I am one of the people that pays for the FBI and I'll tell you as the paymaster I am appalled at the corruption and ineptitude at the agency.

It is past time to clean that mess out.

Yes. I watched that live and was in utter amazement that this idiot was even allowed to be on TV representing the US Government. She couldn’t even speak like she had an education, much less a degree..................
