Game of Thrones: Kingsroad announces Steam early access dates

Fans across the Seven Kingdoms will be happy to know that Game of Thrones: Kingsroad is coming a lot earlier for antsy players, who can score early access to the RPG on Steam.

Game of Thrones: Kingsroad is one of the most highly-anticipated games releasing in 2025. Set in George R.R. Martin’s hit fantasy universe, players will create their own character and forge a journey through Westeros alongside some of the series’ most iconic heroes and villains.

The action-RPG is slated for release in June 2025 on iOS, Android and PC… but luckily, it looks like fans won’t have to wait for Winter to be over to play it.

Game of Thrones: Kingsroad gets Steam early access on March 26

As announced by Netmarble and Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment, Game of Thrones: Kingsroad will be available to play via Early Access on Steam starting March 26.

Starting March 21, Steam players will be able to purchase a Founder’s Pack, which boasts multiple tiers. Each tier includes Early Access to the full game, as well as exclusive costumes, mounts, season passes, and special items to help players in their quest to defend the Wall.

Kingsroad will be playable on Steam for all Founder’s Pack purchasers on March 26, meaning you have to purchase the Founder’s Pack to experience the title early.

GOT: Kingsroad might look a bit different at Early Access than it will in June, as Steam’s model allows titles to be played as they are developed and progress until their full release. During this time, players are encouraged to give developers feedback and share their reviews as the game reaches its final stages.

Kingsroad follows the player’s character during the events of Season 4, focusing on Jon Snow and his defense of the Wall against the formidable White Walkers. Other iconic characters from the show, such as Jamie Lannister and Daenerys Targaryen, will also take part in the fray.

Mobile players can also pre-register for the game on the Apple App Store and Google Play to get full cross-play across all supported platforms and devices, so everyone on every platform can play together.
