Kemp argued that border policies under President Biden are 'outrageous'

Georgia Gov. Brian Kemp says justice was served after a judge gave the 26-year-old migrant from Venezuela who was convicted of murdering Laken Riley a life sentence.

"I'm glad that justice was served, and it was swift and severe," the governor said in a Fox News Digital interview on Wednesday soon after a judge in Athens County, Georgia, convicted and then sentenced Jose Antonio Ibarra, a migrant who had entered the U.S. illegally.

Kemp said the conviction and sentencing were "no surprise" and emphasized that Riley's murder was "a really tragic set of circumstances. Tragic for that family and I've certainly had them in my thoughts and prayers. I know that people in Georgia and around the country have."

Justice would have been this murderer never getting into the country. And he didn’t get the death penalty so I wouldn’t call this “severe” either.

Wait, he was just convicted. He was sentenced already?

The Manson family got “life” sentences too, but look what happened to that.

Biden and Harris sharing his cell would be justice. All of them in old sparky would be real justice.

I wonder if this dirtball can be brought up on federal charges. Federal courts allow the death penalty if I’m not mistaken.

Yeah, no consolation.

The whole thing was unnecessary.

So 3 hots and a cot for the rest of his life. Hmmm, maybe he will have an unfortunate and tragic accident.

Georgia has the death penalty. Why aren’t they needling this waste of oxygen?

Apparently the GA prosecutor had taken the death penalty off the table at the start of the trial. She’s no longer in office but the prosecutorial decision still stands.

Does a life sentence in Georgia really mean life?

Severe ≠ Just

He should be dead. His body on display at the border as a warning to others of his ilk thinking of entering the United States to cause destruction.

Maybe with the new sheriff coming to town...

Letting that bas**** live is not justice.

To: nickcarraway

Yep. Today. Bench trial. No jury.
