Like mother, like daughter.
Glenn Close’s daughter, Annie Starke, recreated one of her mom’s pregnancy photos while pregnant with her son, Rory.
Taking to social media on Saturday, the 36-year-old shared a 1988 photo of Close sitting on a vintage floral couch and admiring her bare bump while pregnant with Starke.
In the throwback snap, the “Fatal Attraction” star’s mom, Bettine Moore Close, sat next to her and stared at the growing belly.
Starke then shared a similar photo of her sitting on a floral couch and pulling up her sweater to show off her pregnancy.
Just like her late mom, Glenn, 77, sat next to her daughter and smiled while looking at her bump.
Starke posted the sweet photos in honor of International Women’s Day, captioning the post, “This #internationalwomensday hits a bit different this year. 💙.”
She added, “(Swipe for a recreation of a classic family pic… my grandma, @glennclose & me in the womb… now grandma ‘Gi,’ me & Rory in the (enormous) womb. Aggressive couch fabric patterns included.)”
Several social media users commented on the post, including Olivia Munn, who wrote, “Oh my heart.”
Starke posted the photos a month after giving birth to her and husband Marc Albu’s first child, a boy named Rory Westaway Albu. The little one’s birth also marks Glenn becoming a grandmother for the first time.
The three-time Tony Award winner welcomed Annie with ex-boyfriend, film producer John Starke, in April 1988. The former couple dated for four years after meeting on the set of 1987’s “The World According to Garp.”
Despite growing up in Hollywood, Annie told People in 2018 that she had a “profoundly normal childhood.”
“I’m a little boring,” she told the outlet at the time. “I was a barefoot kid, outdoorsy, never had siblings, but I had cats and dogs, and really surrounded by nature. I credit my parents for keeping me grounded and keeping it normal. I still have my oldest friends since high school.”
Annie has since followed in her mom’s acting footsteps and has worked on various movies and TV shows –– including playing the younger version of her mom in the 2017 film “The Wife.”
