The Google TV Streamer 4K is more than just a terrific streaming device. It can also act as a smart home hub, letting you control all major smart home devices directly from your TV. Thanks to Prime Day, it’s now on sale for $74.99 at Amazon for Prime members, matching its best price to date. If you don’t subscribe to Prime, it’s just $5 more at Best Buy and direct from Google.

The Google TV Streamer 4K is a great fit for people already invested in Google’s ecosystem. The device lets you control your TV with your voice via Gemini, while the Google TV interface pulls recommendations from across your streaming services and even displays Rotten Tomatoes scores. Setup is also quick and straightforward, taking only about 10 minutes in our testing. One particularly nice touch is that Google asks which streaming services you subscribe to during setup and then downloads the relevant apps for you, so you don’t have to install them one by one.

Beyond streaming, the device doubles as a Matter-compatible smart home hub, making it easy to check your front door camera when the doorbell rings, turn off the lights, or adjust compatible thermostats and other smart devices without getting up. Google has also added a few extra conveniences, including a remote-finder function and an ethernet port for a more reliable connection.
