Green Bay Packers fans are fearing the worst over quarterback Jordan Love after the team announced a new signing to its active roster before the playoffs.
The Packers said on Saturday afternoon that they have signed quarterback Sean Clifford to the active roster ahead of Sunday afternoon's game in the playoffs vs Philadelphia Eagles.
It comes amid a week of concern over the elbow condition that starting quarterback Love has been battling to overcome.
'This is pretty concerning,' one fan wrote in response to the announcement on X, while another said: 'Hmm....of course Love's elbow is cooked isn't it??'
Another worried reply simply said: 'Not what I like to see.'
But Love came off the Packers injury report on Friday, seemingly signaling that there are no concerns going into the game.
He got hurt in the last game of the regular season last weekend against Chicago bears but returned to full practice Thursday.
Clifford, meanwhile, has been on the Packers' practice squad all season.
There had been concerns for the Eagles too over the condition of their starting quarterback Jalen Hurts this week.
Hurts had been in concussion protocol since taking a hit on Week 16 in a loss against Washington Commanders.
It was only on Friday afternoon that Eagles head coach Nick Sirianni said Hurts was clear to play.
