Influencers have started revealing Grand Theft Auto 6 merch from Rockstar Games, and fans are up in arms as they think it’s better than the $400 collector’s edition.
With GTA 6 being the biggest gaming release of the last few years, fans have been expecting big things from Rockstar Games when it comes to a collector’s edition – especially after iconic drops for previous games.
Rockstar finally unveiled the collector’s edition for Grand Theft Auto 6 on September 25, slapping a $400 price tag on it. The special edition set doesn’t come with a copy of the game, but has a special pair of Oakley sunglasses, a statue of Macca the Gator, T-shirts, and other accessories.
Just a few days after that, Rockstar also started sending out gifts to influencers within the Grand Theft Auto community, with unreleased T-shirts, tote bags, and even a money clip.
GTA merch gifts are “better” than Collector’s Edition
Naturally, there have been comparisons made between the two on social media. “This is better than the collector’s edition lol. Congrats man,” one fan commented on Tmartn’s YouTube video.
“Rather have that than the collector’s edition,” another chimed in. “It pisses me off that the general public can’t have this s*it,” another added, suggesting they would pay over the odds to get the merch in their collection.
“Yeah, I think I’m canceling my collector box,” said another fan after seeing the new merch.
Some of these gifts were mentioned in a leak on Rockstar’s website and could become available in the future.
Rockstar GamesWith November quickly coming into view, Rockstar is clearly ramping up the marketing for GTA 6. Things have started popping up in Miami, including a ‘Welcome to Vice City’ on the roof of the Miami Heat’s Kaseya Center.
Additionally, the Heat have unveiled a GTA 6-inspired collection of T-shirts and are preparing for a ‘Vice City’ night on the day before the game releases.
For one night only, the HEAT trade Miami for Vice City.
