Gypsy Rose Blanchard joined family members for an intimate, private viewing honoring her late ex-fiancé, Ken Urker, over the weekend.
The reality star, along with Urker’s mother, two of his sisters and his brother, gathered in Louisiana Saturday to pay their final respects, according to TMZ.
Blanchard and Urker’s daughter, Aurora, who will be 2 in December, was also in attendance, the outlet reported, noting that Urker’s sister Autumn, who has accused Blanchard of lying about details surrounding Urker’s death, was reportedly not present.
Blanchard, per the outlet, wore a black dress and a necklace Urker gave her to commemorate their second anniversary, and was reportedly given time alone with him to say goodbye.
The outlet also reported that Aurora recognized her father at the viewing, and heartbreakingly said, “Daddy.”
The “difficult” day was followed by a Sunday lunch at IHOP for Blanchard and Urker’s relatives, sources told TMZ. Plans are being made for the care of his dog, Parker, with one of Urker’s siblings reportedly taking the pet home in the meantime.
Urker was found unresponsive at a home in Louisiana on his 34th birthday, TMZ first reported on Oct. 1. He was discovered by a family member after he didn’t respond when Blanchard texted him “happy birthday.”
Page Six reported that Blanchard and Urker had quietly ended their relationship about a month before his death. Blanchard claimed in a statement that Urker died of a suspected overdose and said that she was “in disbelief.”
The couple met as pen pals in 2017 while Blanchard was incarcerated for her role in the 2015 murder of her mother, Clauddine “Dee Dee” Blanchard.
They got engaged in October 2018, but called it quits in August 2019.
Blanchard then married Ryan Anderson in July 2022 while still in prison, but the two split in March 2024, just three months after she was released. Their divorce was finalized later that year, and Blanchard subsequently rekindled her romance with Urker.
Blanchard and Urker welcomed Aurora in December of 2024.
“Ken was an amazing father and a man who was deeply loved,” Blanchard said of Urker following his death. “He will forever be my soulmate and my red string, a connection that time, distance, and even death can never erase.”
