The Issue: Hasan Piker saying the US is worse than al Qaeda and Iran should be allowed a nuclear weapon.
Every story about Hasan Piker proves his stupidity, the latest being about his claims that Iranians should be allowed to have nuclear weapons and that America has committed more terrorism than al Qaeda (“Piker goes nuclear for Iran,” Sept. 19).
Iran wants to destabilize the whole world, as shown by its support of the Houthis, Hezbollah and Hamas.
Piker also ignores Iran’s war against its own people as exemplified by its slaughter and imprisonment of thousands of protesters.
Only Piker’s idiocy and outrageousness get him press; it’s time to stop falling for his nonsense.

There is no better poster child for ending birthright citizenship than Piker, who has said America deserved 9/11 and just said America commits more terror than al Qaeda.
Piker’s parents were Turkish students in America on visas when they had him before taking him home to be raised in Turkey. Now he’s back in America as a citizen and an adult, attacking our country and poisoning our politics.
We have enough awful, anti-American people in our country; we don’t need to legitimize more through processes like birthright citizenship.

Piker is aglow in ignorance when demonizing the United States and Israel while finding little or no fault with China, Hamas and al Qaeda.
If America is the “top dog in terrorism,” then Piker has shown himself to be the top dog of politically-driven idiocy. He should bless the country that grants him free speech, something that Hamas and al Qaeda would never sanction.

When is someone going to question Piker about his Turkish ancestors murdering millions of Armenians and Assyrians? He is quick to point out flaws in America’s history and politics but is apparently or intentionally ignorant of the violent past of his heritage.
Turkey was responsible for over 1 million deaths through forced marches, rape, abductions, sex slavery, forced conversion to Islam and on. These actual crimes make Piker’s perceived list of American or Israeli issues pale in comparison.

The Issue: Ed Sheeran calling Israel’s actions “unjustifiable” after Macklemore left his tour.
Needing an unambiguous fix, Ed Sheeran addressed his crowd in Philadelphia and tossed Israel under the tour bus (“Ed’s tearful tune,” Sept. 20).
Acknowledging the horror of Oct. 7 was only an insincere preface to a takedown of Israel.
It’s easy to blame Israel for kicking sand in the faces of the Palestinians. Thinking and going beyond the surface requires honesty and courage. Israel didn’t start this war. The Arab states refused to recognize Israel’s right to exist from day one.
Israel will stop if Hamas and other Palestinian groups recognize its right to exist, disarm and actually cease fire. Leave Israel alone, and it will let you be.
Open your eyes, Ed Sheeran, this isn’t as complicated as you make it out to be.

So, Sheeran thinks what is happening to Gazans is catastrophic and unjustifiable. Seems these sympathetic people only mouth off, but have yet to visit Gaza and see what is happening.
By the way: Where is Palestine on the map? It could exist now if its leadership gave a hoot about their citizens.
