Hatsune Miku is coming to Persona 5: The Phantom X, and players are already falling in love with her kit and promising to pull for her no matter what.

On June 15, it was revealed that Vocaloid superstar Hatsune Miku will be coming to P5X as part of the game’s first anniversary event as a playable character.

Fans were quick to share their hype for the twin-tailed star’s release, with many loving her Persona 4: Dancing All Night outfit and musical teaser trailer.

However, ahead of her June 25 release, the devs have given us a closer look at her colorful kit, and fans are already vowing to pull on her banner.

Persona fans overjoyed by playable Miku

During a dev stream, the team gave fans a sneak peek of how Miku plays in P5X, and in true Miku fashion, she is absolutely oozing with style. Instead of using a regular melee or ranged weapon, the music-loving girl blasts her enemies with her singing voice.

While the Persona series is known for its incredibly catchy battle themes (I’m looking at you P3, It’s Going Down Now), Miku’s special ability actually allows players to switch between her iconic tracks, which in turn changes the background colors of the stage and the music.

As you can imagine, this has been a huge selling point amongst both Miku and Persona fans. “Honestly, worth pulling her just to have Heaven play as a battle BGM,” wrote one commenter. “Play with fire by Camellia?!?!?!?!?!?! holy f*ck, ok i might need to get into P5X,” wrote another.

It’s not just the musical nature of Miku’s kit that has fans hyped, as her kit also looks incredibly strong. Depending on the track Miku selects, she’ll be able to grant her teammates various buffs like extra damage bonuses, crits, and more.

One of her skills can even heal allies, while her ultimate activates a virtual concert that allows you to perform actions for two rounds without using an action. Essentially, an incredibly strong, musically based support who brings both style and a high level of utility to every team she is in.

So, it’s not hard to see why series fans and newcomers alike are vowing to unlock her. “I am once again asking you for your financial support for Hatsune Miku banner,” joked one fan. “I’m waiting for her! She’s the only reason that I download P5X,” added another.

While P5X’s Miku reveal is exciting, it’s not the only collab that has caught our attention this year. So far, that award goes to both the glow-in-the-dark fishing rod and these wireless earbuds with a leek-shaped case.
