A little boy looked on as his father confessed to murdering the youngster's mother and half-brother in the family's Nevada home.
Karl Groschen, 41, made the shocking utterance while his five-year-old son stood next to him, telling officers: 'You've gotta arrest me.'
He did so in newly-released bodycam footage after the October 11 killings of his wife Anastasiya Akutsina-Groschen, 44, and stepson Sergei Scoggins, 20, 8NewsNow reported.
The bodycam footage shows Groschen casually strutting towards police as they arrive at the family's comfortable $500,000 home, clutching what appears to be two pill bottles and a drinks can.
After telling an officer about the bodies, the cop replies: 'Who are they?' to which Groschen responds: 'My wife and stepson.'
Groschen's five-year-old son appeared in the footage as the officers questioned the father over what happened, as he claimed the deaths were out of self-defense.
'I thought they were trying to kill me,' Groschen said while being placed in cuffs. 'You've got to take me.'
Following the tragic double shooting, Andy Scoggins, the father of Sergei and ex-husband of Anastasiya, shared his heartbreak with the Las Vegas Review-Journal as he branded Groschen a 'coward.'

Groschen's wife Anastasiya Akutsina-Groschen, 44, and stepson Segei Scoggins, 20, were killed in the home after neighbors heard an argument followed by gunshots
The police bodycam footage was released this week as Groschen's case is still in its early pre-trial stages, with his attorneys requesting a competency test to evaluate if he is competent to stand trial.
Prosecutors allege that Groschen shot his wife and stepson following an argument in their garage.
A neighbor told police that she overheard Groschen yelling at Scoggins to 'get the (expletive) out of here' before pushing the 20-year-old toward his car, according to court records.
The witness said seconds later they heard a gunshot and saw Scoggins running into the home. Several more gunshots followed moments later, they claimed.
In the bodycam footage, Groschen admitted to killing his family but said it was out of self-defense, before he calmly told officers where they would find the bodies.
His wife was found in the driver's seat of the couple's car in the garage, while Sergei was found shot dead in the home's laundry room.
Records showed the five-year-old son seen standing by Groschen as he admitted to murder was picked up by Child Protective Services after the shooting.
Further updates on where that child has been placed have not been shared.
Photos released alongside the footage showed a handgun sitting near the car, and the Clark County Coroner's office said both victims died from multiple gunshot wounds.
Groschen and Anastasiya shared a young child together, who was seen in the police bodycam footage by his father as he admitted to the deaths. The child was later taken in by Child Protective Services

Sergei's father and Anastasiya's ex-husband Andy Scoggins (pictured with Sergei as a child) said he has been left devastated by the deaths, and called for 'coward' Groschen to face the death penalty if convicted
Groschen was arrested but has not yet entered a plea as his attorney requested he be evaluated for competency, pausing the proceedings against him.
Weeks after his arrest he was indicted on further charges of open murder and child neglect.
Sergei's father Andy Scoggins said he was devastated by the news of his son and ex-wife's deaths, and called for Groschen to receive the death penalty if convicted.
'If he wanted to harm somebody, why didn’t he harm himself?' he told the Review-Journal. 'Because he's a coward.'
Scoggins, who lives in Hanoi, Vietnam, said he was married to Anistasiya for about seven years, and that she met Groschen on a dating app following their divorce.
He described her as a 'brilliant, driven woman, saying: 'She was at one time the light of my life. She gave me the best gift anyone could ever give anybody, which was my son.'
He said the witnesses account that Sergei ran back into the house was his son's valiant attempt to still protect his family.
'My son would never leave his mother or his little brother inside with that monster Karl,' he said.
