Four people were killed Saturday when a helicopter crashed and caught fire in Quebec’s Montérégie region, authorities said.
The aircraft went down shortly after 2:30 p.m. in the Rang des Écossais sector of Sainte-Brigide-d’Iberville after it had “experienced difficulties,” according to Agence QMI.
Emergency crews, including firefighters, rushed to the scene.

Authorities had not publicly identified the victims by late Saturday afternoon.
