Nearly two years since the finale of Part 1 of Season 5, “Yellowstone” is finally back for Part 2 — its final final season, and notably sans its original star Kevin Costner.
The massive Taylor Sheridan-created show officially returned to Paramount Network on Sunday night. Without Costner, the final installment sees patriarch John Dutton navigate shifting alliances and unsolved murder cases, while heading towards what has been hinted at a very dark fate.
New episodes of “Yellowstone” will air on Paramount every Sunday at 8 p.m. ET. However, the best way for cable-cutters to watch the show is through a live TV streamer such as DirecTV, currently offering a 5-day free trial
However, if you want to watch CBS without cable and without the internet, you can tune-in for free with an indoor TV antenna. CBS is also available to stream with Fubo and Hulu + Live TV. Once the season concludes, it will all be available to stream on Peacock, along with the show’s previous four seasons.
Costner has been on “Yellowstone” from the beginning of the series, but rumors that he would depart the show after the first half of Season 5 started in Feb. 2023, as Costner was worried that the show’s shooting schedule conflicted with the shooting of his film series “Horizon.” By June 2024, Costner ruled out a return to the show.
Despite being off the show, Costner is still the first cast member named in the opening credits, and appears in the end credits in his capacity as an executive producer.
