The Lindsay Clancy murder trial has gripped the nation - now Daily Mail and 2WAY are going deeper into the chilling case that left three young children dead.

Audiences can tune into the new live show streaming Tuesday, August 25th at 1pm ET on Daily Mail Crime Desk YouTube channel.

The 36-year-old former nurse is charged with three counts of first-degree murder in the killings of her children, Cora, five, Dawson, three, and eight-month-old Callan, inside the family home in Duxbury, Massachusetts, on January 24, 2023.

Clancy, 36, has admitted strangling her children but has argued she was suffering from postpartum psychosis and cannot be held criminally responsible.

Over the past month, the mother-of-three's murder trial has unfolded inside Plymouth County Superior Court in Massachusetts, delivering a series of harrowing moments.

Jurors heard Lindsay Clancy's confession to husband Patrick that a 'male voice' in her head told her to kill their children and then herself and an unreleased call played in court reportedly contained sounds so disturbing that jurors burst into tears and medics were called in.

The most shocking moments from the case have also been dissected in a new podcast miniseries, The Trial USA: Lindsay Clancy, taking listeners inside the testimony, evidence and unanswered questions at the center of the trial.

The trial has ignited a fierce debate far beyond the courtroom over maternal mental healthcare, criminal responsibility and where the line should be drawn between severe mental illness and culpability.

At the heart of the case is the question jurors will soon have to answer: Was Clancy suffering from a catastrophic psychiatric illness that left her unable to understand the wrongfulness of her actions, or was she criminally responsible for killing her three children?

Now, with closing arguments approaching and Clancy's fate soon expected to be placed in the hands of the jury, The Crime Desk and 2WAY are bringing the debate directly to viewers.

Daily Mail senior correspondent Kayla Brantley and crime reporter Luke Kenton will host a special live edition of The Crime Desk bringing together true crime creators, legal experts and mental health professionals for a wide-ranging discussion about the case and the questions that have divided viewers throughout the trial.

They will also be joined by Daily Mail crime reporter Rachel Sharp, who has been inside the courtroom covering the case firsthand.

Sharp will take viewers behind the scenes of the trial, sharing what she has witnessed inside the courthouse and offering insight into moments and details that have not made it into the headlines.

And this won't be a traditional live stream where audiences simply watch from the sidelines.

2WAY's interactive format allows viewers to join the conversation in real time, ask questions directly to the panel and weigh in on one of the most fiercely debated criminal cases in America.

Should Clancy be held criminally responsible for killing her children? How should postpartum psychosis factor into the law? And what has the trial revealed about the way the criminal justice system handles severe maternal mental illness?

Everyone has an opinion. Now we want to hear yours.

Tune in live on the Daily Mail's YouTube channel or sign up to participate through 2WAY and send in your questions and reactions as the conversation unfolds.
