Inaba met Artem Chigvintsev through So You Think You Can Dance, where he competed and she worked as a choreographer. They began dating in 2006, years before he joined Dancing With the Stars as a professional dancer in 2014.
Their relationship ended in late 2008 or 2009, with reports differing on the timing. Inaba described their split as amicable and later spoke positively about his career.
Jesse Sloan
Inaba met accountant Jesse Sloan on eHarmony in 2009. She deliberately left her photo and profession out of her profile so potential matches could get to know her without focusing on her celebrity status. “In his picture, I felt like I already knew him,” she later told Access Hollywood, according to ABC News.
Sloan proposed during Live With Regis and Kelly on March 31, 2011. Although Inaba accepted, the wedding never happened. Her representative confirmed in September 2012 that they had ended their engagement earlier that summer and remained friends.
Inaba also maintained a friendship with Sloan’s daughter. “He and I are still friends,” she told E! News after the split.
Tony Neiman
Inaba’s brief relationship with Tony Neiman was less public than her engagements. According to Parade, they dated in 2014–2015, and he appeared on her Instagram in September 2014 with the affectionate description “my love.”
Neiman was still part of her life in March 2015, when he sent flowers to celebrate Dancing With the Stars’ 10th anniversary. He was in Italy and unable to attend the show that evening.

Inaba’s second engagement was to actor Robb Derringer, whose credits include General Hospital. He proposed in December 2016 at the California beach where they had shared their first date. The couple began planning a wedding in Hawaii, with the ocean and nature central to their vision.

Fabien Viteri
Inaba went public with her relationship with Fabien Viteri in September 2020. She said they met while walking their dogs in their neighborhood and described him as a supportive partner.
