Kevin Durant Blasts Skip Bayless As ‘Washed’ While … Also Calling Himself That?

If you don’t love Kevin Durant, I don’t know how.

The Phoenix Suns have been struggling, and sports media legend Skip Bayless thinks he knows what the problem is: their superstar Kevin Durant. And KD being KD, he decided to shoot back on social media Sunday.

Phoenix is currently in a battle in the Western Conference’s lower half for a playoff position, but things haven’t been going well as of late. Bayless believes that Durant is to blame, saying he’s not all the way there for his team when it comes to his mentality. “The more I watch him at 36, the more he looks mentally semi-retired to me,” said Bayless. “He’s participating in a documentary about his life, and it just feels like he’s winding down his basketball career. That’s showing up in the Suns’ win-loss record. They started 8-1 this year, but since then, they’ve gone 20-31—think about that. They’re four games behind the Play-In.”

Taking out the Dallas Mavericks in a Sunday contest, Durant took to Twitter after the game to issue his response to Bayless, and interestingly enough, he said they were both “washed.”

Talk about a comeback.

Kevin Durant is on the right side of things when it comes to the culture war between Drake and Kendrick Lamar, so it’s all love as far as I’m concerned.

Just back off, Skip … you’re not winning this one.
