Khloé Kardashian isn’t telling daughter True the truth about her and Tristan Thompson’s relationship status — yet.
The “Kardashians” star revealed on Thursday’s episode of the show that the 6-year-old “thinks [her parents are married.”
Kardashian explained to pal Malika Haqq that not correcting the little one was the “right thing to do” for now.
“That’s what I wanna teach her,” the 40-year-old explained. “Get married, have kids.”
Kardashian added in a confessional that she does plan to set the record straight with True “when she’s older.”
She defended the decision, saying, “Right now, I believe you do things for your kids because kids should not be involved in adult problems.”
However, Kardashian admitted it “bothers” her that True and son Tatum, 2, look at her and Thompson, who dated on and off from 2016 to 2021, and “think … ‘This is what a marriage is.'”
She explained that her kids may grow up believing, “Oh, you’re married to someone and they don’t live with you. And you never have to kiss them or you don’t sleep in the same bed together.”
The Good American co-creator “would love” her children to see her “have a husband one day.”
She gushed, “I would love for them to see love and affection and romance. I do want them to have that.”
Elsewhere in her conversation with Haqq, 41, Kardashian suggested that she’s dating by saying, “I’m doing things, but I’m not on Hinge, I’m not on Raya.”
The “Keeping Up With the Kardashians” alum revealed to viewers last year that she hasn’t been on a date since calling it quits with Thompson, 33.
“I don’t want anyone stopping my routine,” she explained in the June 2024 episode. “I’m in my rhythm.”
Kardashian’s tumultuous romance with Thompson began in 2016, with the pair repeatedly weathering cheating scandals — once during the reality star’s 2018 pregnancy and again the following year when the NBA player kissed Jordyn Woods.
Despite multiple reconciliations, the duo ended things for good in 2021 after Thompson secretly fathered a child with Maralee Nichols while he and Kardashian conceived son Tatum via surrogate.
New episodes of Season 6 of “The Kardashians” premiere on Thursdays on Hulu.
