Kim Kardashian divulged that she “needed to heal” prior to her romance with Lewis Hamilton.

In a new interview with the Times’ Style Magazine, the reality icon divulged that after her high-profile split from Kanye West in 2021 — with the exception of a brief romance with Pete Davidson — she “was really single for five years.”

The Skims founder, 45, called the break from dating “great,” noting that she “could focus on [her] kids and projects that [she] really wanted to be involved with.”

“I really felt no rush,” she continued. “Like, I really didn’t feel empty. I felt like I needed my time.”

The “American Horror Story” actress said she hoped to “completely heal and just work on” herself after her volatile split from the “Stronger” rapper, with whom she shares children North, 13, Saint, 10, Chicago, 8, and Psalm, 7.

“I wasn’t ready to open up,” she continued. “I really wasn’t even thinking about it. The universe works in your favour when you just allow it to.”

The “Keeping Up With the Kardashians” star and the Formula 1 driver — who have known each other since 2014 — hard-launched their romance in February, when they stepped out at the Super Bowl together to see the Seattle Seahawks beat the New England Patriots in Southern California.

They’ve since kept their relationship largely under wraps, with the exception of an occasional social media peek into their sweet moments together.

Hamilton took to Instagram in July, sharing pics of the couple packing on the PDA during a family getaway. In the poignant caption, he urged his followers to “hold your people close.”

In August, he shared intimate, never-before-seen date photos with the TV personality, captioning them, “Resting, restoring, recharging 🔋🔋🔋.”

Kardashian herself shared a sweet PDA mirror selfie with Hamilton, in which she wore a pink Gucci bikini as he reached around her waist affectionately.

While her divorce from West has presented challenges — with mom Kris Jenner telling her that “the coming years would be the best of [her] life,” per a September 2025 Vogue cover story — the mom of four appears to have maintained the respect of another ex.

In an interview with Variety last month, Davidson — whom she dated for nine months back in 2022 — recalled the rigors of dating within the famous family.

“Look, man, that’s a really tough atmosphere if you’re not game,” the comedian, 32, told the outlet.

“One of the things I love about Kim and that whole family is they’re like, ‘This is what we do,'” he added. “I found that very attractive and mature.”
