A 77-year-old man has been charged with the murder of a woman in Cheltenham.
Charles Graham, 77, appeared at Cheltenham magistrates court on Tuesday 3 September. He was charged with the murder of 67-year-old Davinia Graham, who was known to her friends as Dee.
The case was sent to Bristol crown court for a further hearing and Graham was remanded in custody. A provisional trial date has been set for 3 March next year.
Emergency services were called to a report of a woman who had been seriously injured at a property in Cheltenham at about 3.30am on Saturday 31 August.
Davinia Graham was declared dead at the scene. Police said that specialist officers were continuing to support her family.
