A man drove a tractor into a house after the homeowner desecrated his father's and brother’s grave.
Nathan Blagg, 28, has been sentenced to seven years and two months in prison, with two years on extended license, after he stole a Massey Ferguson tractor and drove into a terraced house in Middlesbrough in May.
Teeside Crown Court was told how the house, which was empty at the time, was linked to Luke Lancaster, who was involved in “an ongoing feud” with Blagg.
Rob Hunt, defending, told the court how Blagg had seen “distressing footage” shared on social media of Lancaster that showed him urinating on the graves of Blagg’s brother and father, as well as kicking over a gravestone.
Blagg then went to a farm near Kirklevington, North Yorkshire, where he stole a tractor from Ian Tate, a farmer, on May 8.
He then drove the tractor nine miles and crashed it into the three-bedroom house on Priory Road, Middlesbrough.
The family who lived in the house had moved out of the house they had lived in for 24 years, due to previous attacks.
In a victim impact statement, the woman who lived there said: “I don’t tell anyone where I live (now) for fear I and my family will be violently attacked.”

Recorder Paul Reid said “the house essentially had to be rebuilt,” the tractor required £56,000 in repairs, and a hay baler, which had cost Mr Tate £30,000, had been written off.
Blagg admitted to aggravated vehicle driving and criminal damage while reckless as to whether life was endangered.
The judge at Teeside Crown Court did acknowledge that Blagg had been provoked.
Mr Reid said: “You were in the spring of this year grossly aggrieved, and rightly so, by the disgusting behaviour of those who desecrated your relatives’ graves and then compounded that disgusting behaviour by posting material on social media showing this.”

The judge said that the criminal damage was “about as serious as it gets, in my judgment.”
The judge said the offence was aggravated by the “enormous amount of damage”, the planning, and the vehicle used.
Blagg has been disqualified from driving for seven years.
Deputy Chief Inspector Dan Cook of Cleveland Police said outside of court: “To steal a tractor from a farm, to then be driven at high speed towards Middlesbrough and rammed with extreme force into a house shows the lengths Blagg will go to instil fear and violence, all without a thought or care for residents and the wider public.
“The danger and significant risk it posed to neighbouring properties meant occupants had to evacuate for their safety due to the structural damage caused.”
Blagg was already disqualified from driving when he drove the tractor and the Jaguar, the court heard.
In a separate incident, just days after the tractor ramming, Blagg admitted stealing a Jaguar and drove it at speed into a lamp-post, causing the car to spin 180 degrees and throwing the street light 20m down the road.
