Martin Daubney was left stunned after a Green Party councillor compared proposals to house asylum seekers in detention-style facilities to “concentration camps”.
The GB News host spoke to Lambeth councillor Martin Abrahams after it was revealed that the number of small boat migrants breaking into Britain now dwarfed the size of the army.
Mr Abrahams rejected the comparison, kicking off a fiery debate with Martin.
“Comparing desperate people crossing the Channel with the size of the British Army... it's designed to generate fear,” he declared.
“Those geezers marching into our country in an uncontrolled manner is what's generating the fear,” Martin hit back.
The discussion became increasingly heated when the Green Party councillor criticised proposals to detain migrants in secure accommodation.
He claimed the measures amounted to “effectively starting concentration camps and holding these desperate people in horrific conditions to stop the pull factor”.
Martin was left stunned and quickly jumped in to challenge the comparison, exclaiming: “It's preposterous!”

The GB News host said that, without knowing who the migrants were, some form of detention was necessary and reasonable.
“They could be terrorists. We don't know. They could have criminal records; a lot have subsequently been proven to have.
“We don't know who they are,” Martin insisted.
“It’s a good idea to contain them in facilities that are no more abhorrent or oppressive than a prison.

“To say that’s a concentration camp… You’re getting a bit carried away, mate.”
Mr Abrahams defended his remarks, saying: “I'm not getting carried away. That's basically what Henry just described, like a prisoner camp.”
“So Belmarsh is a concentration camp?” Martin shot back but got no direct response.
The Green councillor said the Government should instead introduce “safe and legal routes” for migrants.

“No one ever talks about this when discussing immigration policy on GB News, because you know that is the answer,” he claimed, adding: “This country has existed with immigration for centuries.”
Martin responded: “Not in those numbers and at this pace, mate. It was in tiny amounts, controlled, and integrated. It's completely different.”
Mr Abrahams accused his opponents of “fear-mongering” and said many migrants had come from countries including Afghanistan, Iraq, Iran and Syria.
He also argued that Western military intervention had contributed to displacement, before turning his criticism on Andy Burnham over Britain's foreign policy.
“If you want to stop refugees coming to this country, stop creating them,” Abrahams said.
“Stop bombing countries and creating them.”
