Incoming first lady Melania Trump showed off her own version of her husband’s signature shimmy, while belting out the lyrics to “YMCA” as she rang in 2025.
A video circulating online shows Melania slowly swaying to the Village People hit while reciting the lyrics alongside President-elect Donald Trump, who, much to the delight of his fans, busted out his signature move.
Unlike her husband’s air-punching, hip-swaying rendition, Melania’s was much more toned down.
She swayed to the music while beaming, before closing her eyes to sing the chorus.
Fans of the first couple were besotted by the “wholesome” moment captured during the pair’s New Year’s Eve celebration at their Palm Beach, Fla., estate on Tuesday night.
“KNEW IT: Melania Trump is a huge fan of ‘YMCA’ just like her husband,” said one supporter online.
“New Trump Dance unlocked! Synchronized YMCA! Even Melania got into it,” another quipped.
“Melania even does the Trump dance elegant,” a third noted, while others were stunned at the “beautiful” first lady’s “grace” and “poise” amid the rocking crowd.
While Melania amassed high praise over her moves, its unlikely to replace the original.
Trump began busting out his iconic moves to “YMCA” at campaign rallies earlier this year, fueling a wave of media coverage and imitators on social media — including his granddaughter Kai.
Marked by its humorous simplicity, it’s become a hit among his supporters and has even been emulated by athletes in college football, the NFL, boxing and UFC.
Apart from Melania, billionaire Elon Musk was also spotted doing the dance during Tuesday’s celebration.
