Comedian and actor Mike Epps has signed with Independent Artist Group (IAG) for representation of his production company Indiana 1 Productions, as well as all other agency areas.

The signing comes on the heels of Epps’ “We Them One’s Comedy Tour,” which sold out several arenas during its run. His standup comedy special “Delusional” premiered on Netflix this January and led to the streaming platform signing Epps for an additional two standup specials.

Epps has previously starred in comedies such as the “Friday” franchise, “The Hangover,” “Sparkle,” “Girls Trip” and “Dolemite is My Name.” The comedian also executive produced and acted opposite Wanda Sykes in Netflix’s “The Upshaws,” which ended its seven-season run earlier this year.

“The Upshaws” earned Epps the NAACP Image Award for Outstanding Actor in a Comedy Series, and the show received other nominations including at the Primetime Emmys and People’s Choice Awards.

Behind the camera, Epps founded production company Indiana 1 Productions, which focuses on developing original film, television and comedy content. He’s produced several projects, including Hulu’s 2025 series “Good American Family,” starring Ellen Pompeo.

Epps’ memoir, “Unsuccessful Thug,” about his upbringing and his career, was published by HarperCollins in 2017.

IAG has represented Epps’ live touring business and will now expand to film, television, comedy, literary, endorsements and other entertainment projects.

“Mike has been an important part of the IAG family for years, and we’ve watched firsthand how he’s continued to evolve into one of entertainment’s most dynamic and enduring talents,” said Jim Osborne, the CEO of IAG, in a statement. “From his incredible success on stage to his work as an actor, producer and entrepreneur, Mike has built an exceptional brand.”

Epps continues to work with producing partner Niles Kirchner and Todd Rubenstein of Yorn, Levine, Barnes.

Added Epps: ““I’m excited for what’s ahead with IAG and to continue expanding our partnership. They’ve played a pivotal role in growing my comedy and touring business, and I look forward to building on that success together as we take the next step.”
