Mystery of Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce's 'break up date' deepens after she misses his birthday - but will they reunite at tonight's game?

Fans of Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce were able to breathe a sigh of relief when a leaked 'contract' revealing the exact day of their split was denounced as fake.

As the document, apparently printed on the headed paper of his US PR company circulated online, Mr Kelce called in the lawyers - and yet, though the break up announcement never materialised, the public haven't seen them out together since the date listed on the piece of paper.

The billionaire pop star, 34, was last seen supporting the Kansas City Chief tight end at Arrowhead Stadium on September 24 as his team took on the Chicago Bears - four days before the alleged break up date.

In the time that they've apparently spent apart, Taylor missed Travis's 35th birthday celebrations over the weekend – a surprising absence given their PDA-packed display at the US Open at the start of the month.

While it's likely that the singer is rehearsing for the Miami leg of her Eras Tour set this month, Taylor's absence from Travis's birthday has fuelled speculation among fans, but according to Travis, the pair will publicly reunite today when the Chiefs take on the New Orleans Saints.

When the document spread online alleging that the couple had plans to split last month, Travis's representatives were forced to deny the claims. 

The paperwork, which appeared to have been created by Los Angeles-based firm Full Scope, revealed a strategy to make their split, and said the date for an announcement was September 28. 

It also outlined a supposed plan to release an official statement at the end of last month – three days 'post-break up' to 'allow the initial media frenzy to settle and ensure clarity'.

It added that the announcement will be 'gracious, respectful and stress mutual respect'.

Laying out what the statement would say, they write: 'Example: Travis and Taylor have decided to part ways after careful consideration. They both value and respect each other's personal lives and appreciate your respect for privacy during this time.

'They are both committed to their careers and personal growth. They remain friends and wish each other the best.'

The paperwork also stated that the announcement would focus on Travis' 'personal growth' by framing the breakup as a 'natural part of life'. It would also highlight his commitment to his career and his ongoing achievements in the sports industry.'

However, a spokesman for Full Scope insisted that they were 'entirely false and fabricated and were not created, issued or authorised by this agency'. 

At the time, the representative also added that they had called in lawyers - though they did not expect to find the culprit.

'We have engaged our legal team to initiate proceedings against the individuals or entities responsible for the unlawful and injurious forgery of documents,' they said.

A spokeswoman for Taylor did not respond when asked if she wanted to comment on the split.

Following the intense speculation, the couple attempted to dispel the rumours by appearing together at multiple public events, including football games, a friend's wedding in New York, and the US Open.

But their PDA-packed display at the US Open on 9 September sparked more conspiracy theories from fans online.

The couple brushed off speculation surrounding their relationship as they watched world No.1 Jannik Sinner defeat Taylor Fritz in the men's final at Flushing Meadows.

Taylor and Travis couldn't keep their hands off each other as they were joined by friend Patrick and Brittany Mahomes in a luxury suite at Arthur Ashe Stadium. 

However, fans pointed out that the Kansas City Chiefs tight end may have had a wandering eye, indicating that his presence may not have been genuine.

The NFL star's attention was called into question by fans on social media, who have suggested his focus wasn't entirely on the on-court action - or even his girlfriend.

In several snaps, the three-time Super Bowl winner could be seen with his phone propped up against a US Open commemorative glass.

He rotated the mobile on its side to show the screen in landscape mode, leading social media sleuths to believe Travis was watching something on it.

'He's for sure watching football,' one Taylor Swift fan account posted to X, formerly known as Twitter, alongside a photo of Travis's phone.

'Bro seen the Bengals take the L,' another wrote referring to the Chiefs' AFC rivals, the Cincinnati Bengals, and their loss to the New England Patriots.

The Chiefs were set to host the Bengals at Arrowhead Stadium on September 15 and other social media users agreed that Travis was keeping an eye on the team in preparation for the clash against one of Kansas City's old AFC Championship nemeses.

'I bet he's watching the Bengal's game, they're losing,' one user posted, while another chimed in adding, 'Studying Bengals for next weekend.'

But the public outings came to a halt on 24 September, after Taylor appeared at Arrowhead Stadium to cheer on her tight end boyfriend as his team took on the Chicago Bears. 

Days later, Taylor did not show at SoFi Stadium to cheer on her boyfriend Travis Kelce and the Chiefs. 

And her absence in Los Angeles came one a day after the supposed 'break up' date in the allegedly leaked 'contract' of her and Kelce's relationship.

Despite the public not seeing the pair together for some time, insiders have claimed otherwise, alleging that Taylor Swift made an early morning dash earlier this month to support Kelce following his woeful start to the season. 

According to insiders, Taylor flew from New York to Kelce's $6 million home in Kansas City last Monday.

She made her flight as the Kansas Chief tight end wrestled with the reality of the worst season start of his career.

Last Thursday, celebrity gossip podcast 'Deux Moi,' additionally claimed that Swift was in town, with the couple reportedly 'shutting down,' the Kansas City hotspot of 'Noka,' a downtown Japanese restaurant.

According to Deux Moi: 'The restaurant was claiming it was closed for maintenance but it's the same restaurant where Britanny Mahomes had her birthday dinner not very long ago.'

After spending two days together, Swift was said to have left Kelce so he could focus on football, flying to Nashville, Tennessee, on Wednesday before making the short hop to St Louis, Missouri on Friday 27 September where she attended her cousin's wedding.

Swift wasn't there to watch the Kansas City beat the Los Angeles Chargers 17-10 last Sunday. But, according to one source, her absence is no indication that her romance with Kelce is cooling off.

Despite the insider's claims, Taylor's absence from Travis's birthday celebrations over the weekend once again plunged fans into uncertainty.

Taylor stayed away as Kelce hosted his second annual Kelce Car Jam charity event in Kansas City, with this edition coinciding with his 35th birthday. 

The 35-year-old was joined by his older brother Jason Kelce, as well as his parents, Ed and Donna Kelce. 

A few of his Chiefs teammates were also in attendance, including Patrick Mahomes and George Karlaftis. 

After the event in Kansas City, members of the Kelce family joined Mahomes, his wife Brittany, and others for an afterparty at the Aristocrat Lounge.

Speculation around whether Swift would attend her boyfriend's charity event boomed, but she was not spotted during the festivities. 

Swift not making her presence felt at Kelce Car Jam came amid speculation as to whether the 'Anti-Hero' singer will be in attendance for Monday's Chiefs game against the New Orleans Saints .

Despite her missing the Chiefs past two games and Kelce's birthday celebrations, the tight end confirmed on Saturday: 'I know she's coming in for the game'.

The relationship saga is set to continue tonight as fans hold out to see whether Taylor will make an appearance at Travis's game.
