A lucky lottery winner from Buckinghamshire has come forward to claim their £1 million prize from the National Lottery draw held on December 14, 2024.

The claim was announced by Allwyn, the National Lottery operator, making this winner one of 383 millionaires created across all National Lottery games in 2024.

The winning ticket matched five main numbers and the Bonus Ball in the December draw, with another £1 million prize from the same draw still waiting to be claimed in Buckinghamshire.

The December 14 draw saw a total of five ticket-holders win £1 million each by matching five main numbers and the Bonus Ball.

"What an incredible opportunity this life-changing win presents for them, just imagine the possibilities," he added.

Carter expressed hope for a second winner to emerge, saying: "We are now hoping that one new millionaire in the county will quickly turn into two. So, check your tickets - there's still plenty of bucks in Bucks still to be claimed."

Once validated, the prize will be paid during an appointment with a National Lottery winners' advisor. The winner will then have the choice whether to go public with their news or remain anonymous.

No information about whether it is an individual or syndicate winner, or where the ticket was purchased, will be disclosed unless the winner chooses to go public.

Players have 180 days from the day of the draw to claim their prizes if they have a winning ticket.

Anyone who believes they have a winning ticket should call the National Lottery Line on 0333 234 5050 or email help@national-lottery.co.uk.

Playing online via the app or website means tickets are automatically checked, with email notifications sent for any prizes won. For those playing the National Lottery, tickets cost £2 per play, with draws taking place every Wednesday and Saturday.
