Prince Andrew has been branded a "walking time bomb" after newly released court documents detailed the Duke of York's relationship with alleged Chinese spy Yang Tengbo.

The latest controversy has now dragged King Charles into the scandal, with documents revealing secret meetings at Windsor Castle.

Yang Tengbo, also known as Chris Yang, was banned from the UK on national security grounds in March 2023.

Court documents released on Friday reveal that Prince Andrew and his former senior adviser Dominic Hampshire twice met with King Charles at Windsor Castle to discuss the Duke's future and indicates that the Eurasia Fund, linked to Yang Tengbo, was among the topics discussed with the King.

"You don't have to crawl along in camouflage on the lawn, and it's ridiculous. So now we have the situation where they've named the king as having discussions on this matter.

"Now, the palace has completely hit back and called it absolute rubbish. There was a meeting, no doubt about that, but it was to discuss Prince Andrew's funding.

"Whereas we all know that his money has been halted. And I think Charles is still giving him some money, but that is going to end. So it is quite a tenuous link. It's quite complicated.

"And I'm not actually sure why Dominic Hampshire has made these allegations to try and sully the King by suggesting he was involved with some sort of Chinese spy, or an alleged Chinese spy."

GB News host Stephen Dixon pointed out: "I mean, the only thing it seems to really achieve is maintaining a toxic brand around Andrew."

"I mean, Andrew is literally a walking time bomb; every time he moves or does something, there's an explosion of some sort.

"I think it's a bit naughty to try and bring your brother, the King, into these discussions.

"Clearly, according to the palace and I'm assuming the palace is telling the truth, there was no discussion involving this alleged Chinese spy."

Buckingham Palace swiftly issued a statement contradicting aspects of Hampshire's testimony.

"While His Majesty met with the duke and his adviser to hear outline proposals for independent funding over the past year, the individual known as H6 (Yang) was not mentioned at any time or in any way as part of these discussions," a Buckingham Palace spokesman said.

The palace reportedly disputes Hampshire's account, stating it "does not conform with the Palace's record of events".

It also clarified that the Eurasia Fund was never given any form of approval by the King nor discussed in any detail.
