A California woman was left with a bloodied head after a firecracker show at the new San Francisco mayor's inauguration went wrong.

An unidentified woman wearing a white blazer could be see being escorted by police with her head down after sustaining the injury in the city's Chinatown.

It happened just moments after San Francisco's new Mayor Daniel Lurie had told spectators that event organizers were 'worried about you all, so back up,' video showed

'The fireworks hit my wife’s head directly,' the woman's husband, Sang Seog Ahn, told The San Francisco Standard.

Her husband's hands were covered in blood after the firecracker hit his wife, but he told The Standard that her injuries were not serious.

Lurie had attempted several times to light the string of fireworks before handing off the duty to someone else.

After it ignited, fireworks can be seen exploding onto the pavement, sending smoke and sparks everywhere and on people's heads, according to KRON 4

The mayor and his posse safely got inside the Far East Café restaurant while spectators enjoyed the show.

San Francisco Police Department treated the woman's injuries and she was not taken to the hospital.

The couple drove back home to San Jose afterward.

Despite the accident, the Ahns' belief in the Lurie Administration hasn't diminished and they believe he'll be a 'great' mayor.

'I'm satisfied,' Ahn told The Standard.

Lurie has not publicly mentioned the incident at his inauguration. He did post photos from the event on his X account, writing: 'Thank you, Chinatown! You were incredible.'

DailyMail.com has reached out to the Mayor's Office for comment.

Lurie, heir to the Levi's brand, beat former Mayor London Breed in November.

A political outsider, he promised to put the 'city back on the right track' from crime, drug use, and homelessness, using skills gleaned from running the Tipping Point charity he created in 2005.

The longtime nonprofit executive has deep ties to the jean giant, which was founded in the West Coast city by a hardworking German-Jewish immigrant Levi Strauss back in 1853.

The brand has since evolved into one of the world's largest apparel firms - one that Lurie is poised to partially inherit.

Lurie's mom Mimi owns 11 percent of the denim giant, making her its single largest shareholder.
