A game that lets players collect hundreds of anime waifu figures and proudly display them in a museum has appeared on Steam, and it’s just as eye-catching as it sounds.
Steam is home to thousands of simulation games that let you experience what it’s like to be a truck driver, run a farm, or even clean up grizzly crime scenes. However, few ever touch on what it’s like to be a weeb with seemingly unlimited funds and a crippling addiction to anime girl figures.
That changes on November 9, when the aptly named Waifu Curator releases to Steam, giving PC gamers the chance to live out their figure collecting dreams with no judgement (well, unless you get caught playing it).
Waifu Curator lets anime fans live out their dreams
According to the store page, Waifu Curator tasks you with cleaning up an anime figure museum that’s filled with broken body parts. Instead of dashing away from the waifu figure crime scene that lies before you, you’re tasked with searching through the heaps to piece together each anime girl and put them back on display.
Think of it like Animal Crossing: New Horizons’ museum combined with a trip to IKEA, but instead of displaying an ancient fossil or assembling a new table (god, I hate flatpack furniture), you’re assembling waifus and filling the hallways with figures.
You can even sort models by theme, with the devs mentioning they have models tailored around 14 different themes like sports, maids, goth girls, idols, and more. It’s not just plastic pieces either, as there are also more premium waifus that are made from metal, silver, gold, and glass.
While no price has been released yet, Waifu Curator will certainly be the cheapest way to build a collection. After all, these head-turning figures can cost thousands of dollars, like these $8,000 Kurumi Tokisaki figure and Ghost in the Shell Motoko Kusanagi figure. You also won’t have to explain why you have life-size Umamusume horse girls in your living room, always a bonus.
