FIRST ON FOX: A New York Court assigned a new judge to preside over the civil fraud case against President-elect Trump brought by New York Attorney General Letitia James.

The case and the trial had been handled by Judge Arthur Engoron, who was accused by Trump allies of acting with bias against the president-elect, his family, and his company.

Sources familiar with the move told Fox News Digital that the court has assigned New York County Supreme Court Justice Judith McMahon of Staten Island to the case.

The case is currently pending on appeal. After the appeals court issues its decision, the case will be remanded back to the lower court, which Engoron presided over during the trial.

McMahon will replace him for further proceedings once the appeals court reaches its decision, sources said.

Engoron is going to get New York State kicked in the face. That is why they removed him.

I guess this means that Mar-a-Lago is worth more than $17 million after all?

I despise New York City judges AND juries. I hope one of the early 2025 actions is for Congress to ELIMINATE the deductibility of state and local taxes. Let’s not subsidize the Blue States!

The impact of this would be on what the appellate court does.

Since Engeron issued a summary judgement against President Trump without holding a trial, the only thing we saw was the sentencing hearing that resulted in the outlandish half-a-billion judgment against Trump.

The appellate court already reduced the fine. Will they remand the case back to the trial court to redo the sentencing based on a proper valuation of Trump properties and harm to the banks?

Will the appellate court remand overturn the summary judgment and remand the case back for re-trial?

Will the appellate court overturn the summary judgment and dismiss the case as an improper use of the consumer fraud laws?

[[My God EVIL NEVER SLEEPS!]]

Sick isn’t it? Was just thinking that in california- yeah, liberals are ticked about losing their homes, but being so braindead- most will keep right on voting for liberals- and the evil will keep rigfht on steamrolling the citizens there and they won’t change-

The effing corrupt New York judge outsmart Trump‘s lawyers when he declared no jail time at time of sentencing so there was no harm intended on the sentencing. So when it was presented to the Supreme Court they ruled on the no harm intended. That asshole bamboozled everybody. That was the magic word. That bitch Barrett has been nothing but a pain in the ass you cannot trust her. So consider her a democrat always voting with the other bitches on the left. I am so sick of her. It’s too bad it’s a lifetime appointed position …she is going to outlast everybody. TRUMP BETTER GET HIS REVENGE!! GAME ON! No mercy

They have replaced her with Engoron again

To: wildcard_redneck

I tend to agree along those lines, many months ago the dems were licking their chops as ‘they’ were the ones that finally ‘got Trump.’ Those not so bright know-it-alls in NY have run out of chances, in two weeks they might be getting calls and visits from the new DOJ, subpoenaed to testify to Congress, that sort of thing. That Merchan thingy can’t be far behind either.

A few are getting out while they can.

Thanks for telling me. The headline has been changed.

It is now "Court names new judge in Trump civil fraud case before reassigning previous judge hours later"

This article is about the civil case, not the criminal case.

The article has been changed. The state is saying the judge was replaced mistakenly. I am going to ask the mods to pull the thread.
