New video footage reveals the horrifying moment emergency responders frantically try to save a 51-year-old Connecticut dad after he fatally plunged 150 feet during a concert at Madison Square Garden.
The shocking clip obtained by WFSB-TV News shows fans and first responders huddled around tragic Paul Kueker, who was at the Goose concert celebrating his 25th wedding anniversary with his wife when he fell from the elevated Chase Bridge at the arena.
Kueker, a green-energy exec, was discovered “unconscious and unresponsive” after his plunge and was pronounced dead at the hospital, authorities have said.
He had gotten up to go to the bathroom before his fall, a report said.
Kueker’s wife was with him at the concert celebrating their anniversary but didn’t see her husband fall, said Kueker’s mother, Patricia Finelli, to the New York Daily News on Sunday.
“He had taken his wife to the Goose concert because their 25th anniversary is on Tuesday,” she told the outlet.
“He got up to go to the bathroom, and he didn’t come back,” Finelli said. “She was getting worried after 10 or 15 minutes. And he didn’t come back.”
Police officers eventually found Kristen in the stadium and told her what had happened, the mother said.
“He was the greatest kid in the whole world,” Finelli told The Post on Sunday. “He’d give you the shirt off his back.”
The married father of two from Niantic was director of operations for the energy management company Smartcon Solutions, according to his LinkedIn account.
