NFL moves Vikings-Rams playoff matchup to Arizona

The NFL has moved Monday's wild-card playoff game between the Minnesota Vikings and Los Angeles Rams to Arizona, it announced Thursday night, saying the decision was made in the interest of public safety as wildfires continue to ravage Southern California.

The game was originally scheduled to take place at SoFi Stadium at 8 p.m. on Monday. It now will be played at State Farm Stadium, home of the Arizona Cardinals, at the same time Monday.

I don’t think it’s a public safety issue but more of a public relations issue. Playing a billion dollar football game while the city burns isn’t a good look.
