Houston Texans star Cade Stover was rushed to hospital on Saturday to undergo emergency appendectomy surgery, the team has revealed.
The young tight end scored his first NFL touchdown against the Titans two weeks ago, but will now be sidelined after suffering a health scare this weekend.
The team initially revealed he was questionable for Sunday's game after suffering an 'illness', but more news was released this morning in the form of a vital health update.
In a tweet, the Titans said: 'TE Cade Stover underwent emergency appendectomy surgery last night. He is doing well today and expected to make a full recovery.
'Stover has been downgraded to out for Week 15 against the Miami Dolphins.'

Just two weeks ago, the rookie tight end scored the first touchdown of his fledgling NFL career
Stover played college football for Ohio State from 2019 to 2023, before being selected in the fourth round of the 2024 NFL Draft by Houston.
He has made an immediate impact this season, and logged a season-high 57 percent of team snaps against the Jacksonville Jaguars last weekend.
The week before that, against the Titans, Stover caught the first touchdown pass of his career, going for three catches and 26 yards.
Stover's absence on Sunday is expected to give Irv Smith Jr a more prominent role, after he was activated from the practice roster on Saturday.
