This is exactly what you would expect from USC-Notre Dame!

Early on in the second quarter of action, Notre Dame had a 7-0 lead over USC, but the Trojans ended up getting some luck by forcing a turnover and scoring on a Jayden Maiava quarterback sneak. After the extra point, the Trojans put up seven on the board to bring us to 7-7 all. (RELATED: Massive Brawl Breaks Out Between Michigan, Ohio State Players After Wolverines’ Upset Victory)

Nothing out of the ordinary there, but something interesting did happen while the quarterback sneak was in play — something that could have seen a Fighting Irish player disqualified from the game.

Rylie Mills, a defensive tackle for Notre Dame, tossed an absolute haymaker at USC offensive lineman Emmanuel Pregnon, punching the Trojan right in the facemask. With that being said though, the referees somehow missed the knock and no flag was called.

And this, ladies and gentlemen, is part of the reason why I can’t stand Notre Dame.

As a Miami fan, I’m in a deep rivalry with them, and that’s honestly the best example to use when it comes to the Fighting Irish. They claim that they’re a part of a prestige fraternity of excellence that’s simply unmatched, while whoever they’re playing (the Hurricanes, in this case) is simply, well, scum. Remember “Catholics vs. Convicts”?

Yet, they do stuff like this, just dirty and no class. Typical.

Screw Notre Dame.
