A New York City teacher was arrested Tuesday morning after he allegedly exposed his penis and inserted it inside a Lysol container at a Bronx school in front of students, according to police and law enforcement sources.
City Department of Education educator Dana Barschdorf, 44, was charged with two counts of attempted lewdness for the alleged disturbing behavior around 8:45 a.m. while working inside a PS 723 building at 1455 Webster Avenue, which serves students with Autism in kindergarten through 4th grade, cops said.
The teacher has been reassigned pending an investigation into the allegations, DOE officials said.
The alleged incident happened at the school building at 1455 Webster Avenue in the Bronx. Google maps“This alleged behavior is completely unacceptable,” a DOE spokesperson said in an email.
Barschdorf was reported to authorities by other staff, according to police.
Attempts to immediately reach him were unsuccessful Tuesday night, but a LinkedIn profile with the same name listed him as a special education teacher.
