Governor Kevin Stitt appointed Oklahoma Public Safety Commissioner Tim Tipton to head “Operation Guardian” on Friday, Nov. 15.
The focus of the operation is to get rid of those who are incarcerated in Oklahoma facilities, whom are illegally in the country.
“The Oklahoma taxpayer should not be left holding the bill for President Biden’s open border policies,” Gov. Stitt said in a press release sent to 7News. “As law and order returns to the White House, Oklahoma will lead the charge with a comprehensive plan to deport those who have committed crimes in Oklahoma while in the country illegally.”

At the moment, there are over 500 illegal immigrants housed in ODOC facilities “for criminal activity unrelated to their unlawful presence in the U.S.,” according to government officials.
This costs the Oklahoma taxpayers around $36,000 a day, according to the release.
