A two-year-old boy who urinated into a glass at a restaurant in eastern China has been defended by his mother who said he could not hold it in any more.

A customer, surnamed Tang, who witnessed the whole incident at the Fuyuanju Restaurant in Hangzhou, Zhejiang province, has exposed the scandal to news outlet The Cover.

Tang said as she and her friends were dining in the eatery on March 13, she saw a toddler at the table next to theirs stand up from the designated child’s chair, take off his trousers and pee in a glass.

The glass, found by the boy’s mother and meant to serve customers, was not a disposable utensil, Tang said.

The boy was accompanied by his mother and two elderly relatives.

“When the boy said he wanted to urinate, one elderly individual went to get a bin, suggesting the boy to pee there. But the boy’s mother said, ‘just let him pee directly into the glass,’” Tang was quoted as saying.
