Pamela Anderson wanted to wear more makeup at the 2025 Golden Globes, but feared she'd face 'backlash' after becoming so known for her all-natural looks, a source has revealed.

The 57-year-old former Baywatch star attended the ceremony at the Beverly Hilton on Sunday night with her 28-year-old son Brandon Thomas Lee, who she shares with ex-husband Tommy Lee.

And it was an extra special occasion for Pamela, as she was nominated for her first ever Golden Globe; she was up for the award for Best Actress in a Drama thanks to her role in The Last Showgirl.

Pamela, who has leaned into embracing her natural beauty recently, opted for minimal make-up at the star-studded event, which included a soft pink lip and glowing skin.

Speaking exclusively to DailyMail.com, an insider close to her has now revealed that while Pamela is delighted that she is being applauded for her toned-down looks, there is a part of her that feels like she is now 'locked into her no make-up image.'

They said: 'Pamela has gotten so much positive feedback from women all over the world for her natural glow up.

The 57-year-old former Baywatch sensation opted for an au-natural look at the ceremony

'She has become an icon who is now known for baring her all-natural self.

'While Pam recognizes that a little make up would have gone fabulous with her gown, she also realizes that she cannot do that. She is now locked into her no-makeup image.

'To do herself up – whether at the awards or anywhere else for that matter – would cause backlash, with people calling her a sell-out.'

The insider added that 'part of her motivation' to cut back on her glam was because she wanted to 'strip away her Barbwire image and Baywatch personification' - and be viewed 'as a serious actor.'

'When she went into this, part of her motivation was to strip away her Barbwire image and Baywatch personification. Shew wanted to be taken as a serious actor,' they continued.

'Pamela realized her true talent when she played Roxy Hart on Broadway. This was life changing for her.

'Never in a million years did she think that she would have been nominated for an award like this.'

Pamela turned heads at the Golden Globes in a timeless black Oscar de la Renta dress, which boasted a ruched bodice.

She completed her look with Pandora lab-grown diamonds - a glinting necklace, earrings, and bracelet.

For his part, Pamela's son complemented his mom's ensemble in a classic black tuxedo, white shirt, and black bowtie.

Pamela wowed critics with her comeback performance in Gia Coppola's film The Last Showgirl, which followed a veteran showgirl whose career is unceremoniously halted after 30 years.

After being marketed as little more than a sex symbol in her early career, the actress is finally being taken seriously.

Upon receiving her first Golden Globe nod, the pinup expressed excitement for the recognition in a statement shared by People.

'I share this beautiful nomination with The Last Showgirl Family, my family, and my hard working companions on this interesting journey,' she wrote.

The former Playboy cover girl added, 'It is never too late to dream, to start again, to stay open to possibilities - we are not all so lucky.

'I wish everyone my love and thanks while I navigate this new exciting chapter.'

In an interview with Better Homes & Gardens last summer, Pamela discussed the public persona she had in the 1990s.

She told the publication: 'People have this pneumatic kind of image of me from Playboy to Baywatch, to my rock 'n' roll type of husbands, to everything else.

'And as much as I threw every dinner party and cooked all those meals for family and my kids, it wasn't what was seen publicly.'

On the other hand, she added: 'But I also played into the image that was created around me. I'm glad I did all that, but I'm really glad I'm where I am now.

'I think the most important part is, I made it through all of it. And now it's such a relief that I get to be myself and enjoy this time.'
