The Philadelphia Phillies hosted an auction that resulted in one fan getting to call an inning Wednesday night, during a 94WIP radio broadcast. And holy moly, just wait until you hear this guy; he was absolutely incredible. Meet Lewis Kalb, the fan who joined broadcasters Scott Franzke and Larry Andersen to call an inning, particularly the top of the third. The Phillies were squaring off against the Washington Nationals. In the aftermath, Kalb was praised on social media, not just for his good calling but also for throwing some humorous banter into the mix.
If you didn’t know that Kalb was a fan, you would’ve easily thought he had years of experience.

As I said, man, I’ll be stunned if this guy doesn’t get a broadcasting job, and soon. At least in Minor League Baseball somewhere. This dude has an insanely perfect voice for radio.
And I’ll also say this: shoutout to Philadelphia, they always have something interesting going on in sports. You have LeBron James joining the 76ers, you have the Eagles competing for Super Bowls year in and year out, and now you have Lewis Kalb putting on an absolute show with the Phillies.
And to think that he paid to give us this show, hell, we should be paying him!
