A doctor in North Carolina who owns his own urgent care has been arrested after allegedly shooting two sisters in the legs during a rage fueled attack.
Dr Richard Arriviello, 61, was taken into custody after he allegedly opened fire on two sisters, 12 and 20, on Saturday morning in Virginia before racing away.
Virginia State Police troopers responded to reports of a shooting on I-77 just before 9am, police said.
The two girls were in a moving Jeep when they were both shot in the legs, WBTV reported.
According to the outlet, both were transported to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
It remains unclear what sparked the confrontation, but investigators said the Jeep was charged with reckless driving.
The driver's identity has not been released.
Arriviello allegedly fled the scene in his Mercedes-Benz, but was later stopped in Carroll County and arrested, troopers said.

Arriviello has no previous criminal record or medical malpractice lawsuits in his around 30 years of practicing medicine, Law & Crime reported.
He has been practicing medicine in North Carolina since 2010, state medical records show.
The doctor now faces charges including malicious shooting into an occupied vehicle, shooting from a vehicle, maliciously causing bodily harm to another with intent to maim and use of a firearm while committing a felony.
Arriviello was booked into the New River Valley Regional Jail without bond and is set to appear in court on September 29.
