A quiet corner of the UK has been named among the world's fastest-growing travel destinations for 2027.
Chichester, in West Sussex, has secured a place on a global list of 10 destinations turning heads, putting the British market town alongside popular holiday spots in Japan, Italy and the US.
The rankings are based on Expedia research tracking year-on-year growth in travel searches, highlighting destinations where interest is rising ahead of 2027.
While Chichester may be less well-known than some of the world's top holiday spots, it offers plenty for visitors looking for a UK break that combines history, culture and outdoor activities.

Chichester is a market town on the West Sussex coast, offering visitors plenty of cultural attractions and a rich history.
The travel company said: "Chichester is a market town on the West Sussex coast, packed full of culture and history, where searches have increased 30 per cent compared to last year. See the renowned modern art collection inside Chichester Cathedral, catch a show at its acclaimed theatre and enjoy world-class sailing and cycling."
Visitors can explore Chichester Cathedral, home to a collection of modern art, or enjoy a performance at Chichester Festival Theatre.
The surrounding area also offers opportunities for sailing and cycling, making it a great choice for outdoor enthusiasts.
Its position in West Sussex also makes it worth considering for a British staycation, particularly for those keen to discover somewhere beyond the country's more heavily visited tourist destinations.
While Chichester ranked top for the UK, it was South Lake Tahoe which claimed the top spot worldwide.
Expedia experts said: "Searches are up 195% year-over-year for South Lake Tahoe, a year-round holiday destination on the California/Nevada border. Ski at world-class Heavenly and Sierra-at-Tahoe resorts all winter, then kayak or paddleboard in North America’s largest alpine lake all summer."
Hyogo in Japan, Sedona in Arizona, Busan in South Korea, Perugia in Italy and The Tweed in Australia were all also recommended.
