Frightening data assembled by a top think tank show that the 9/11 Muslim terror attack did nothing to slow immigration from the Islamic world, and in fact might have inspired open-borders officials to increase it.
A report released today by the Center for Immigration Studies (CIS) shows that the number of Islamic-world immigrants to the United States has doubled to 3.4 million in the 25 years since Muslim hijackers murdered almost 3,000 Americans on September 11, 2001.
The baleful result of open borders might go well beyond the takeover of American cities by grasping, criminal immigrants, such as the Somalis in Minnesota who have run massive welfare fraud schemes.
The sheer number of immigrants and their offspring, millions from hostile countries, might well portend a major terror attack or attacks.
Afghan immigration, for instance, increased 476 percent. Yemeni immigration, 416 percent.
The Attacks
Twenty-five years ago tomorrow, Americans watched as two passenger jets flew into the World Trade Center towers in New York. A third flew into the Pentagon; a fourth, headed for the U.S. Capitol, crashed in a Pennsylvania field when heroic passengers stormed the pilot’s cabin and tried to take control of the aircraft.
Total dead: 2,977.
The culprits: 19 Muslims who should not have been in the country. They somehow landed here, alleged Tucker Carlson last year, with the help of the CIA.
The attack and its aftermath should have taught American officials something about open borders and Muslims. It should have ended all Muslim immigration to the United States. Alas and alack, that isn’t what happened, as everyone knew when President George W. Bush appeared at the Islamic Center of Washington, D.C., on September 17, 2001, while “they were still digging bodies,” as the End Wokeness X feed explained three days ago.
“These acts of violence against innocents violate the fundamental tenets of the Islamic faith,” Bush falsely explained. “And it’s important for my fellow Americans to understand that.”
“The face of terror is not the true faith of Islam,” said Bush, flanked by a squadron of Mohammedans:
That’s not what Islam is all about. Islam is peace. These terrorists don’t represent peace. They represent evil and war.
When we think of Islam we think of a faith that brings comfort to a billion people around the world. Billions of people find comfort and solace and peace. And that’s made brothers and sisters out of every race — out of every race.
From there, he gushed about the many wonders of Muslim Americans.
Lesson Not Learned
Eight years later, nothing had changed. Official heads were still in the sand.
When Army psychologist Maj. Nidal Malik Hasan shot 13 people to death and wounded 32 more at Fort Hood, Texas, on November 5, 2009, then-Army Chief of Staff George Casey fretted about “diversity” and “backlash” against Muslims.
“Frankly I am worried — I’m not worried, but I’m concerned — that this increased speculation [about Hasan’s Islamic faith] could cause a backlash against some of our Muslim soldiers,” Casey burbled on CNN’s State of the Union.
Soldiers should “be on the lookout” for mistreatment of Muslim soldiers. “As great a tragedy as this was,” he continued, “it would be a shame if our diversity became a casualty as well.”
Casey did not say how many Americans must die at the hands of Muslim fanatics before diversity becomes a casualty.
Immigration Not Stopped
No wonder the immigration didn’t stop. And not only did it not stop, CIS reported, it increased … massively.
“The number of immigrants — including naturalized citizens, legal permanent residents, long-term temporary visitors, and illegal immigrants — from the Muslim world increased from 1.7 million in 2001 to 3.4 million in 2024,” CIS explained.
That number is a net increase, meaning immigration minus emigration and dead Muslims.
Total increase in the Mohammedan population was 103 percent, CIS explained:
This is much faster than the growth in the overall foreign-born population (58 percent) and is nearly seven times faster than for the overall U.S.-born population.
The decision to admit large numbers of people from Afghanistan after the U.S. withdrawal caused the population of Afghan immigrants to nearly double from 2020 to 2024, but Afghans accounted for only a quarter of the total increase from the Islamic world over this time period.
Prior research indicates that 10 to 20 percent of immigrants from majority-Muslim countries may be illegal immigrants — lower than the 25 to 30 percent share for the overall foreign-born. The rapid increase in immigrants from the Islamic world overwhelmingly reflects legal immigration policies.
And that’s not the only bad news. Many of the countries that have pipelined the most Muslims to America since 9/11 are hostile to us. Immigration from these countries increased as follows:
- Afghanistan: 202,000 — 476 percent
- Pakistan: 201,000 — 93 percent
- Iran: 119,000 — 41 percent
- Syria: 65,000 — 109 percent
- Yemen: 66,000 — 416 percent
- Somalia: 45,000 — 87 percent
That alien host doesn’t count the seed-corn of Mohammed that is spreading like a wheat fungus across the fruited plain. That number is 1.9 million.
“The total number of immigrants from the Muslim world plus their U.S.-born offspring was 5.4 million in 2024, compared to 2.5 million in 2001 — a 118 percent increase,” CIS concluded:
Assuming that recent trends continue, the number of immigrants from majority-Muslim countries and their U.S.-born offspring will nearly double to 10.4 million by 2050.
Illegal Muslim Immigrants
Another worry is illegal Muslim immigration.
CIS has estimated that about 10 percent of “Middle East” invaders could be illegal, but “Middle East” does not cover all Muslim countries.
Estimates of illegals from that region of the world vary, but the Center for Migration Studies (CMS) published numbers in 2024, based on the American Community Survey, that should alarm Americans about what could be ahead, CIS continued.
CMS estimated that 91,000 illegals were Afghans, along with 42,000 Bangladeshis and 43,000 Pakistanis.
“Our January 2025 estimate of illegal immigrants found 15.4 million in the public-use January [Current Population Survey], equal to 29 percent of the total foreign-born in the data,” CIS reported:
Estimates by the Migration Policy Institute and the Center for Migration Studies also indicate that illegal immigrants are likely 25 to 30 percent of the total foreign-born.
Then again, perhaps CIS’ numbers are nothing to worry about.
