“Real Housewives of Orange County” star Shannon Beador has settled her case with ex-boyfriend John Janssen, who sued her in March for the $75,000 he allegedly loaned her for a facelift.
“Shannon made an incredibly smart emotional and financial decision in deciding to settle this case,” her attorney, Dave Beitchman, exclusively told Page Six Tuesday, calling the “premise” of the lawsuit “shameful.”
“I have no doubt in my mind that Shannon would prevail in this matter, but the cost of defending the case would easily be more than the amount that was sought,” he explained.
“While she was certainly prepared to fight for the truth, I congratulate her in taking the high road and putting this matter behind her.”
According to People, a “Notice of Settlement of Entire Case” was filed in Orange County Superior Court last Friday.
Beitchman also represented Beador in her 2018 defamation case against her co-star Alexis Bellino’s ex-husband Jim Bellino, which she won.
Reps for Janssen did not immediately respond to Page Six’s request for comment.
The insurance broker, 62, alleged in his complaint that Beador, 60, breached their oral contract and committed promissory fraud by purposely not repaying him for the plastic surgery.
He claimed he lent her $40,000 via wire transfer in January 2022 and another $35,000 via personal check in May 2023.
According to Janssen, the former couple agreed that the Bravolebrity would pay him back with interest.
After multiple alleged requests for repayment in 2023 and 2024, Janssen took Beador to court for the full $75,000, plus accrued interest, costs and reasonable attorneys’ fees.
But the mother of three insisted the money was a gift.
“I am shocked and disappointed that John has a filed a lawsuit,” she told People in March. “My attorney has been in constant communication with his counsel.”
Beador claimed she “agreed to pay John what he wanted because [she] knew that attorneys’ fees would surpass the amount sought,” but she also wanted to “eliminate the negative emotional components that come with a lawsuit.”
The TV personality — who was arrested for driving under the influence and hit-and-run in September 2023 — made sure to note, “It is important that I continue to focus on the positive aspects of my life and move forward.”
Beador claimed to the outlet that “John declined the offer because he refused to sign a mutual non-disparagement agreement.”
“I was hoping that if I met his baseless demand, we could at least use this as an opportunity to bring complete closure to this chapter in my life,” she lamented.
The pair broke up in November 2022 after nearly four years of dating; they stayed close for several months after that.
However, Janssen moved on with Alexis, 47 — to whom he proposed in August — after meeting her in November 2023.
