Reform UK MP Richard Tice has branded Priti Patel's comparison of Nigel Farage to Jeremy Corbyn as "ludicrous" and "juvenile".

The Shadow Foreign Secretary had accused the Reform UK leader of "equivocating over Russia's illegal war in Ukraine" following Farage's comments about President Zelensky's White House visit.

"What a ludicrous comparison," Tice told GB News. "We like Priti but she has taken leave of her senses, for heaven's sake."

Patel's remarks came after Farage criticised Zelensky for being "rude" to Donald Trump and for not wearing a suit to the Oval Office.

"The reality is, Friday was uncomfortable and far from plan A," he admitted.

However, the Reform UK MP stressed that focus should remain on the ultimate goal.

"But we have to focus on the objective and the prize and that is to get to a peace deal that has genuine, robust security guarantees," Tice said.

He emphasised that such an agreement would benefit all parties involved.

"That would be a win-win for everybody," he added.

Reform UK has repeatedly called for security guarantees for Ukraine in any peace deal, according to a party spokesman.

Tice highlighted the immense pressure facing both leaders in the negotiations.

"The pressure on Zelensky is unbelievable for anyone to imagine," he said.

"The pressure on Trump as well, he told his electorate he would get a peace deal."

The Reform UK MP advocated for a more discreet approach to the peace process.

"These negotiations should take place behind closed doors," Tice insisted.

His comments come as tensions rise following Zelensky's visit to Washington, which was cut short after a difficult meeting with Trump and Vice-President JD Vance.

Liberal Democrats have accused Farage of acting as "Trump's own spokesman here in Britain" following his remarks.
