Tell us how you really feel, Ty.
The NBA smacked Cleveland Cavaliers guard Ty Jerome with a $25,000 fine Monday after he spit absolute fury at female referee Natalie Sago. During the game between the Cavs and Portland Trail Blazers, Sago knocked Jerome with a technical foul, and it set off the 27-year-old following the contest.
Joe Dumars, an NBA executive, announced the news.
“Cleveland Cavaliers guard Ty Jerome has been fined $25,000 for public criticism of the officiating … Jerome made his comments to the media following the Cavaliers’ 133-129 overtime victory over the Portland Trail Blazers on March 2 at Rocket Arena.” (RELATED: ‘That’s Just Stupid’: Charles Barkley Rips Athletes Who Don’t Want To Visit President Trump’s White House)
Here’s what Jerome had to say after the game that landed him in this hot water:
“Yeah, I thought the refs were really bad tonight. Especially Natalie [Sago],” Jerome said Sunday.
“She was really bad. So when stuff like that happens, they kind of lose control of the game. [You just have to] keep your head. I thought that first half was ridiculous. The third quarter was horrendous, and you just got to keep your head and keep playing.”
Called her out by name though!

Say what you want about Ty Jerome, but you have to applaud him for keepin’ it an absolute bean. He didn’t hold back! And that’s exactly how I like my athletes, and people in general. Too much pussyfooting in today’s world.
“F*CK THAT!” (*DJ Akademiks voice*) … let’s keep it real, ladies and gentlemen.
