Damn, this sucks.
A Southern California golf course has sadly felt the rage of the wildfires that are currently racing throughout Los Angeles and surrounding areas.
Located in Altadena, less than five miles away from the iconic Rose Bowl Stadium, Altadena Golf Course stated Wednesday in a post on Instagram that their clubhouse unfortunately “did not survive” the inferno.
In video footage that was published on Altadena Golf Course’s official Instagram, you can see flames around the area and smoke from other spots where things were already burned up. It’s utter destruction. (RELATED: Kawhi Leonard Leaves Clippers To Assist With Family After Wildfires Erupt In Southern California: REPORT)
“We will come back stronger,” said the course on Instagram.
Opening in 1910, the nine-hole golf course was set ablaze by the Eaton Fire.
This is just one of the sports-related stories to come out of the California wildfires, showing the dramatic impact that it’s had on the Los Angeles area. JJ Redick, the head coach of the Los Angeles Lakers, stated that his family was forced to evacuate their residence, and the Wednesday game between the Los Angeles Kings and Calgary Flames was postponed. Hell, superstar Kawhi Leonard left the Los Angeles Clippers altogether to assist his family.
And while on the subject of sports-related stories when it comes to the California wildfires, racing icon Danica Patrick couldn’t have been more on point with her sentiments.
California has 840 miles of coast line and 3,000 lakes and reservoirs. Why don’t they have enough water to fix any and all fires?
At some point I have to imagine it’s getting difficult for hardcore cali lovers to accept the state of their state and how it’s managed.
